I have kept busy enjoying finding beautiful places to walk or hike before all the leaves fall off the trees. We were going to go to Big Bear today for their Halloween celebration but decided instead to stay closer to home and go over to Lake Arrowhead which I think we have done just about every day this week. We're going there today to see Some dance group do "Thriller" at what they call Center Stage which is a stage set up outside in the middle of the village. Then we will get a walk in after that.
I was looking at paintings of Lake Arrowhead and found this one was done by Thomas Kinkade. It's a beautiful representation of the Village and the Arrowhead Queen boat which gives tours along the lake.
We've been lucky enough to find some trails down to the shoreline to walk along through the forest. For six years we have believed since this was a private lake and they had gates where you needed keycards that we wouldn't be able to experience walking there. We have found a few places to actualy access to the shore and enjoy some walks. I'm glad we were able to do this in fall because the colors have been amazing. So, we simply walk through and act like we are residents there and enjoy our walks.
These are from our third day this week of finding a new way in - the pink leaves were incredible!
Happy Halloween to you.
