Rising Bosoms

I'm on my coffee break, my patients are sleeping and the wind is blowing hard around the hospice eves.
It's Sunday night and for the first time I'm missing The Archers...enough of those old episode repeats!
The Velvet Voiced Linda has messaged all of the wardens in the village and we have all answered promptly with an " all is well" message
I commented that it all sounded like the end of The Waltons
Linda replied with a pithy " Goodnight John Boy!"

I saw Trendy Carol earlier ( in a very figure hugging leopard print ensemble ) she had hijacked Mary for an afternoon cuddle...a lot of village people seem to be doing that recently.
Apart from her I have seen no one until I got to work.
My colleagues all seemed somewhat confused with Boris' new Stay Alert Message
The Welsh health minister made things clearer and more unambiguous....our message is generally Stay At Home.
The ponies have left my field now, which is a shame but the weeds and nettles have gone leaving the allotment areas free to be dug over again
" Bosoms " are on the rise again
Which is nice.

I bought the above poster for my bedroom

NEIL RECEIVES A TEXT

It was a chilly spring day when Neil decided to take his new rescue cat out walking.  He left Griffin behind because the cat's attitude toward "Sam" the new cat, was a little too aggressive.  He knew eventually they could be comfortable around each other but he needed to give Griffin space to "think" about his actions.

Neil had decided it was not time to go searching for a new relationship.  The week or so he had been texting with Debbie, proved to him that he wanted someone who had deep feelings for him and not someone who loved him for what was in his wallet.  He knew her motives - she was as transparent as a thin film of water on glass.

After making the decision a few days ago he set out to find another cat to share his life and give him even more reason to get up and get moving every day.  He had never trained Griffin with a leash but he was determined to make Sam a cat who could accompany  him on his walks.

He was enjoying the walk when a text came in from Debbie.  He read her offer of a relationship and after a minute or so wrote back and declined it.   Did he feel bad?  No, not at all.  He felt invigorated because he knew there was someone out there who could love him for who he was, sweat pants and all.

sam looks like a chihuahua but he is definitely a cat.

DEBBIE'S DECISION

After talking with her sister and considering her sister's advice, she knew she couldn't just walk away from this relationship.  The more she and Neil texted she was certain this was the right choice.   He was kind, funny, somewhat well off financially  and so personable and really...  he was exactly what she was looking for.  He seemed like he would be a dependable guy and great companion.  With his money and her sense of style she could dress him up a bit and make him a touch more presentable, more to her taste.  Yes, she thought, this is it.  I will text him and let him know that I am open to a relationship.

Debbie felt satisfied that as soon as he saw her text he would immediately text back and say he was ready for the next chapter in his life.

Yes, she felt good, this was definitely the right decision to make.
