I SURPRISED MYSELF ON THIS FIRST DAY OF 2019 AND GOT INSPIRED

I started sketching out a house and then kept going.  I had fun making up a scene of a house I would enjoy living in.  I can just imagine how the back yard is full of plants and a garden is tucked away in the far right back corner of the backyard.

I then found myself outside picking little oranges off the miniature orange trees.  This is probably because the other day we were down the mountain and I could smell and see orange groves in bloom as we drove through Redlands.  This house would fit just perfect on one of the streets in a Redlands neighborhood.

Once I got started on my sketch I enjoyed adding more and details to the house.

So that's how I sent the first day of 2019.  How about you? Any creative things going on, or movies, or baking or just relaxing after the holidays?

#1 SKETCH OF 2019

"Look at that  - 2019 is blowing in quite nice!"

Wind chill has our weather today in the teens.

Our feral Momma cat is happy because we have given her a good shelter on the back deck and we keep warming up her food when it gets cold.   She now sits at the window and meows at us to let us know her food's temperature is not to her liking - so she has us trained to heat it up for her.

The ravens come by often for their snacks.  All the creatures here are happy and well fed. The raccoons come at night to eat what is left.

Not sure if I will keep this up for 364 more days but I sure would like to think I can.  If I keep it simple like this I can do it.

Hope you are having a great start to your new year.
