It's going to be a busy day. I'm going to the County Fair in a few hours and it's a miracle - meaning for the first time in years it appears the temp will be in the high 80's instead of the high 90's low 100's. I've stayed away for several years because of the heat during the times I've wanted to do. It should be a great day.
I finished this sketch of a house in Shell Beach, Ca. I've taken photos of it before and so has my sister so we decided that we will do this one.
I enjoyed working on it - which was first pen and colored pencil and then painting it in. It is "digital" paint but if I had painted it in with traditional paint I would have used acrylic.
Shell Beach is a beautiful little community right on the coast with several streets going up from the cliffs that overlook the coast and a lot of the homes are small with a few Mansions here and there on the roads. I prefer the smaller beach cottage type homes with interesting landscapes. I will be in this area again over Thanksgiving which I am extremely looking forward to.
Shell Beach is part of the Tri-Cities along the central coast and San Luis Obispo where I go to visit my sister is about 20 minutes up the freeway from this area.
