BARTHOLOMEW'S TRAINING DAY

He is a good dog and is learning to keep the gophers out of the garden.  I believe tomorrow will be even warmer than today so Bartholomew will get a rest from his training. 

CAT SKETCHES

It's really warm in the sun and to protect my arms from even more sun damage I like to wait late in the day to go get a walk in.   The UV index has been high
lately and it just feels good for the most part to stay inside where it's cool.  We will normally head out around 3:00 to 4:00 on days like this.

My son is in town from Bend, Oregon  and was here for a few days.  He has a job out in the desert (he is in construction) and sent a screen capture of the temperature (124 F).  Luckily tomorrow will be his last day and then he catches a flight home to Bend to spend with his family before coming back next week for another job which hopefully is in a cooler place.

This has happened overnight ( or so I thought )
Less salt and pepper around my hamster ears
More Helen Mirren or Judi Dench
I'm nearing 60 in a couple of years
And I'm shocked to see that I've turned into my father..he was 7 years older when he died !!
