My Best Friend's Wedding

Late last night I received an email from two old friends
The email was titled
" We Will Meet Again " 
It was short and to the point

"So we keep being told........I bloody hope so.

Thinking of you .... keep safe xxxxxx

Sometimes you don't always say what you want to in a reply. especially with people you are not normally demonstrative with...
But last night I was suddenly  reminded of that scene in My Best Friends wedding when old friends  Julia Roberts and Dermot Mulroney talk about love

I wrote back something I wouldn't normally say after my first serious line of  " You two keep Safe", I added
" I love you guys !"

And moments later came the one word answer

" Ditto x" 

It's a time to be honest

A LONG TIME AGO - ABOUT TEN YEARS

Years ago we would hike around our area which is not where we live now but was down the mountain more in the foothills, we would once in awhile stop in at a place called Logans Roadhouse.   i saw an old sketch a couple days ago in my files  and then the next day an article came out how Logans is closing all 261 locations permanently.    Do you have a Logan's in your town or city...

One day as we were sitting there having our appetizer and drinks, I had taken a photo of the table where we were sitting mostly because I take a photo of just about everything that crosses my vision except my self in the bathroom mirror.  I'm a little OCD about photography.    So later when we got home I sketched this out. 

Actually the only reason I am posting old art is because I have the time and just like updating this blog even when I'm not sketching anything. . That's the way I keep in touch with you who comment and find out how things are in your life which I enjoy reading about. 

So are you still getting out at least and getting walking or exercising in.  Do you have to wear face masks in the areas you live just to go to the store.  Our county finally has required us to do that.  They first came out with an order that you had to have a face mask whenever you left the house - which sounded like even in a car - but they since revised it and no - not required if you are in a car with you family. 

My question mark key is not working on my laptop so I can never properly ask a question...sigh... 

So when I was younger I loved Long Island ice Teas but as I have grown older and wider .(..haha I meant wiser, but I realize the truth of the first word "wider"...) I gave that up, however, nothing like a refreshing tea to have after a long hike  - but now if I do stop in anywhere it's just a beer.  Damn life changes one when they least expect it - just like this virus thing.

  but I am feeling better this morning. I'm still tired and have a nagging headache but I do feel brighter.
