AN OLDIE

I touched up.

Today is a gorgeous day - the nights are cool now and there is a cool breeze in the morning which seems just about right for our mountain climate.  We still may get some hot days but I think if I remember right, the nights will now be cooler as we head into fall.  That's good news for me.

My sister took a photo of a front porch that I hope to sketch today but not sure if I will get it done.  We have another grandson coming later and he is bringing a friend with him.  The middle of July to middle of August has been really busy with family - especially grandkids which I have enjoyed.

I just found out we will be going to Washington in the middle of September to visit my oldest son and his family.  I always love a trip to that area.

So...

Here's a cat I did years ago when I worked mostly with colored pencil and pen.

It's "Caturday" on social media places so here he is.  Any fun plans for the weekend?

Rereading my post it sounds like it all about the "middle".  So here is a quote about the middle.

"We're are always in the middle of two energies.
Gravity is sinking you down and inspiration is lifting you up."   mandy ingber

I, myself prefer to hang out in the middle of the middle.  Too much inspiration makes my energy scattered because then I open the door and it all flows in ...what to do...what to do....

And gravity - way too easy to get pulled into that one!

Oh and then a quote from George Schultz

"....He who walks in the middle of the road gets hit on both sides."

And I am a "middle" child.  Older sister, younger brother.

oh and one more thing.  "Did you know August 12 was Middle child day....
"Oh, you didn't notice that it was.  Don't worry, no one ever does."

And - Moses the cat loves the "middle" of the bed.
