Your Tune

Jamie ,our Choirmaster ( Sans his1940 RAF moustache ) organised a few new sings tonight as well as some trusty old tunes at our choir Zoom
He picked one old favourite from before I joined the choir which caught me unawares, sat at the kitchen table like I was.
He chose Moon River
Now, Moon River , was the music that was played at my wedding . It was always  " our tune"
And I haven't heard it publically since the wedding
Having it served as a curved ball at choir absolutely threw me.

After a minute or so , I slunk, hopefully unnoticed out of my  Zoom position in the left top corner of the computer screen
And I stood quietly weeping  in the rain, under the honeysuckle by the front door until everyone had finished singing

A CUTE PELICAN AND SOME BIRD ART

The finch art behind the pelican was something I bought years ago  from Marshall's .  I eventually gave it to my sister.  A few years after that i was in Morro Bay while visiting my sister and bought this pelican for her.  So I would have a memento of both I took this photo.  I later tried doing my own  sketch of them just for fun.

I came across the photo I took in 2015, again.  I like all the colors in it so for today this is a perfect image for my sketch blog.

All of this reminds me of how I use to love to browse Marshall's and TJ Max, ..etc... through the home goods section.  I rarely buy anything just because I downsized so much when we moved and i don't need to spend money on things I don't need anymore.    But there is still the desire to at times.

Do you have a weakness - something that is hard for you to pass up while shopping - something that is whimsical and not a necessity.  For me it's always art or someone's creative ideas turned into a crocheted item etc.  Even the creativeness of cake baking and decorating is art to look at and taste.

I read this quote somewhere and i've also read that there are quotes that are said to be from Albert Einstein but aren't.  i didn't research to find if this quote truly is by him but regardless, I love it~!!

"Creativity is intelligence having fun!"- Albert Einstein. Creativity is the act of turning new and imaginative ideas into reality. Creativity is characterized by the ability to perceive the world in new ways, to find hidden patterns, to make connections between seemingly unrelated phenomena, and to generate solutions.

I'm surprised to find that the art I liked and purchased as in this photo below, has the same colors, the orange beaks, the turquoise and greys and whites.  I never gave it much thought before, even when arranging this and setting it up on my sister's dining room table to take the photo.  She probably didn't even see me do this back then because she was to the right of me busy cooking dinner.

Well enough talk - there's a beautiful path with spring flowers blooming that's just waiting for me to engage with it.  Hope your day is great.

with my sketch i just used the idea of them to do a quick drawing.
