I have now seen scans of both of our unborn grandchildren. Both pregnancies have passed the twelve week mark when the chances of successful births are very high - around 98.5%. Still, we must keep our fingers crossed because in any pregnancy things can go wrong.

As with Little Phoebe, Frances and Stew will most probably wait till the babe arrives to find out its gender. In contrast Sarah and Ian will  will know if their little one is a boy or girl after twenty weeks. Naturally, I am hoping for two boys who will both be called Neil and will be the spitting image of me. Their shared nickname will be Yorkshire Pudding and they will become lifelong Hull City supporters. However, neither of them will be encouraged to become schoolteachers.

Revision of "due dates" puts Sarah's baby at October 25th and Frances's at October 22nd. It could be a new reality TV series - "Race From The Womb". Of course Frances's second child will be born in Sheffield though it seems that Ian and Sarah's baby will be born in London in spite of my strong protestations. I want him to be born in Yorkshire so that he can later play cricket for my illustrious county. Well, that used to be the rule.

The scans seem to show baby moles languishing in the earth but I swear they are baby humans. If scans had existed in the spring of 1953, I am sure that I would have looked like that too.

Meantime, idle lady bloggers, Mary Moon, Thelma and Meike showed interest in the products of Micosoft Image Creator that I shared yesterday but indicated that they would leave others to play around with this amazing facility. Partly in mischievous revenge here they are:-
