I have terrible news to share with you this evening. It's hard to find the right words so I will just come right out and say it - Bob is Dead! Kapput! Deceased! Over! There. I have said it. Perhaps there are snowmen that live forever - in Antarctica or by some hidden bay in northern Greenland - some place where ice and snow is everlasting - but here on the edge of western Europe in our changeable maritime climate, snowmen never last for long and that's the truth of the matter One day they stand tall and proud with their eyes of coal or 2p pieces or small potatoes and four days later they are just slushy piles of the white stuff with their bits and pieces grounded on green lawns. That's how it was for Bob. He came into our lives last Friday morning and this Tuesday evening, as I look out into our night garden, all I can see is half  a bucketful of snow under the rotary clothes dryer.  PT lessons You will face your fear You will be too tired to think You will discover muscles you never use All of these are great, but the second is the most important. I don’t have energy to wallow. I complain about PT, but it lifts my soul.  I realize I am capable, and that is what I need daily reminders of. I need to be reminded to love the body I have. I have two arms and legs. And that is a blessing. I needed PT to remind me of God’s goodness. Who knew when I hurt my ankle weeks ago, it would be a gift.   From the get go Tár wrong foots you by having the majority of the credits in a long opening reel. The rest of film follows suit , by setting the scene by having the leading “Maestro” conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic, Lydia Tár ( Cate Blanchett) in a verbose, over long winded and verbose  tvtype interview   about the ins and outs of being a conductor.  Tár is passionate, obsessive, compulsive and full of her own self belief. She is an autocrat and a smiling bully who lives her life between  wife and daughter in a concrete minimalist house and her old less ordered apartment where it is hinted she shares a double life. She is also an insomniac, neurotic pill taker and potential predator lesbian , with multiple skeletons in her closet where junior conductors and orchestra members are concerned.  This is where the film becomes suddenly interesting  For as her past comes in to haunt her, she is plagued by paranoia, creepy encounters and ...
