THESE TWO DATE BACK ABOUT NINE YEARS - I WOULD NAME IT

"All the colorfulness that is Edee".

My sister and I were part of a personal little forum created for about six of us at the time - who desired to have a more private forum to discuss family life, our interests, whatever it was we wanted to talk about.  It was way before I ever found or joined FB.

One day Edee told us about attending an art class (Edee was a really good artist) which class I think  was in Hilton Head, So. Carolina - but really not sure now of the area she was talking about.

One thing she said was how beautiful the hotel rooms were and how for some reason which I can't remember now, she talked about the class and how warm and humid it was in the building and how she perspired because she forgot to put on her deodorant.  I felt compelled ...yes that's the word...compelled to do a sketch where I imagined she was isolated by the group of other artists and sent to a room where she could be alone so as not to offend other people.  In the sketch I made her look happy to be alone with her art while sipping a glass of wine (which she often liked to do ...quite often I believe.

The other sketch showed her enjoying her view out of the hotel room where she was staying....(she was quite a colorful character and world traveler actually - at least to France where her mother lived up until several years ago and left her apartment in France to Edee)...  Anyway - Edee was enjoying her hotel room and all these colors in the room to me just seemed to describe Edee's character.

Edee actually lives on Long Island in New York and one time when Mike and I were in Manhattan (he, for a business trip) we got to actually meet Edee and her husband Mike, in person.  We ended up eating at a delicious restaurant in Little Italy.  It was a fantastic evening.  We actually were there about 2 years after 911 and I saw the area of the twin towers and the clean up that seemed to be still ongoing - ...and as an aside was amazed at how many high rise apartment buildings surrounded the area and what it must have been like for the occupants both in the twin towers and those observing it..very sobering.

Here below... Edee sits, blogging to us at our special private blog about her experiences at the Art Classes she was taking in Hilton Head?!  Being the colorful character she is I had to make her hotel room look like a carnival.  Actually I think now what I had in mind was Carnival Cruise Lines...

Anyway - we have a breeze and coolness in the air and a perfect time to get out and enjoy the fresh air.
