Except - I can share some traffic news. They are replacing power poles throughout our community, and also trimming and cutting down trees and basically it's obvious that the power company does not want a repeat of the Camp Fire and other big destructive forest fires that we had in Southern and Northern California this last year when the Santa Ana winds came.
Every day large trucks go up our road and we are still waiting to find out exactly when our pole is going to be replaced. We were told about three weeks ago it would be soon and power would be out during that time. We're still waiting and I hope we get a notice as we are suppose to, so we can plan accordingly, like take off for the day.
Several different people have come by to mark lines - such as where the gas line is, etc. So we know it's going to be happening soon.
It's good to know though that there is much going on to keep our communities in the mountains safe. The forests up here have a LOT of trees, probably more than the agreed amount of trees per acre that is considered ideal and safe.
So that's about the only news other than we are going down to have dinner with our grandson who turned 13 today and we will bring him back home with us for a few days. He is so easy to have around - we never even have to talk because he will be playing on his game system or on his phone.
