Of the deep pink
Roses
Spread on
The kitchen table
The aroma
Takes away
The anxiety
And trouble
For a moment
As I’m grateful
For the flowers’
Reminder
That with beauty
Comes the thorny
Issues of life
But it doesn’t
Detract from
Its utility
To be
Hopeful
Under stress
