The lane has been closed for two days.
A fairly minor inconvenience all told but four households including myself have to drive several miles detour to access our houses by car.
To be honest I have parked up at the church and have walked back home, but I am slightly irked that the owners of the new build ( the cottage being built on the old gardens of my cottage) have not popped around to apologise for the road closure so that water mains can be connected.
Am I just being sensitive ?
I don’t think I am.
If it was me, I would have popped a card into each house, apologising for the disturbance
Perhaps I’m old fashioned, that way.
