A couple of Grosbeaks hanging out - adult male and young grosbeak just getting its' mature black head feathers. These birds return to the mountains in spring so it won't be long until they are taking over the bird feeders.
They are the most colorful birds we get up here other than the lesser goldfinches.
Grandson is here but he has grown up - doesn't need much attention from us because he's got his X-boxLive game, so I had time to sketch. Wish these grandkids could stay little for a lot longer time than they do.
